Our high magnetic field strength MRI scanner is unparalleled in the region, indeed the only one of its kind able to perform a wide range of advanced diagnostic imaging on a much wider range of patients and conditions. In a world of increasing cancer incidence and prevalence, this high end machine would not have come at a better time than now to aid in early cancer screening along other diagnosis.
1.5 TESLA MRI SCANNER
Main advantages include high image resolution/quality and ability to image patients without exposing them to adverse effects of ionizing radiations like X-Rays. It offers superb imaging for patients with body tumours, stroke, traumatic injuries, spine and joint disease. It’s also available for breast, prostate, liver, cervix and other organs for screening.All body regions (liver, pancreas, spleen, kidneys, uterus, ovaries, brain, neck, chest, bones, stomach, bowels, prostate, cervix). 3D reconstruction imaging (bones, joints, spine, pancreas, urography, vascular). Special exams (breast MRI, MRCP for biliary system,MRU for kidneys, uterus and bladder, MRI ELASTOGRAPHY for liver disease
MULTI DETECTOR ROW CT SCANNER
Our CT scanner is fitted with the latest upgradable software to enable 3D imaging with increased acquisition speed and improved image quality making it excellent tool in evaluation of very sick patients such as poly trauma victims and uncooperative patients.
Unlike in the past, we are now able to do special examinations such as angiography which were a preserve for the top of class hospitals, out of reach for common citizens.
DIGITAL X RAY
Our X Ray is a shift from the analogue. This is modern method of capturing X Ray images using digital technique and digital capturing devices with improved speed.
The speed of image capturing means reduction of radiation exposure making it safer to our patents and improvement of the overall image quality both of which greatly increase the accuracy of patient diagnosis and quality of care that can be provided.
3D/4D COLOUR DOPPLER ULTRASOUND
This colour doppler ultrasound scanner uses technology that turns sound waves to images giving faster results with no side effects. It allows acquisition of a volume of data especially in obstetric fetal imaging and imaging of other body organs and systems.
The Doppler application is useful in establishing vascular flow such as from placental/umbilical cord in fetal imaging as well as checking for blood flow in arteries, veins and in the heart
LABORATORY SERVICES
As part of our diagnostic department, we have heavily invested in a state of the art well equipped laboratory with highly qualified personnel to ensure reliable diagnostic results.
Our laboratory offers both routine and specialized tests and we will be the first in the region to provide advanced tests including specific Cancer screening tests (CA 125, CA 119, CA 153, CEA, AFP), Cardiac Chemistry tests; CKMB, MYOGLOBIN, TROPONIN I/T Pro BNP);Thyroid Function Tests(TFTs);Renal and Liver Function Tests; Therapeutic Drug monitoring tests; Specialized Serological test – ANA, Anti CCP, D Dimer, ASOT, C Peptide, serum Cortisol, Serum Ferritin, serum Transferrin, Vitamin D, B12 and others; CSF tests, Fertility tests, FNAC/BIOPSY and other Chemistry tests like Lupus Anticoagulant and Smooth muscle antibodies.
